Set up a User as a TechnicianΒΆ

To set up a user as a technician to work with the Mobile Maintenance for Aviation applications, follow the steps below:

  1. Log in to IFS Cloud Web as the IFS Application owner.
  2. If you wish to create a new end user to work as a line planner, navigate to the User page located in the Solution Manager folder and create the user. Note: If you create a new user in IFS Cloud, you must set up the appropriate organizational data for the new user in Maintenix. To assign an existing user as a technician, on the User page, search for the user.
  3. On the record sub-menu of the User page, click User Permissions.
  4. Click Grant Permission Sets and filter the displayed permission sets to find the permission set by name, MM_TECHNICIAN. Note: This permission set contains pre-defined permissions to perform actions required by a technician. It can further be edited based on requirements. For more information see Permission Sets.
  5. Click OK.
