Create purchase requests

When part requests for maintenance tasks cannot be fulfilled with inventory from stock, you can create and submit purchase requests to your purchasing department. Submitted purchase requests are displayed on the To Do List, Purchase Request tab.

You can have a part request for a maintenance task or to address a stock low, but only part requests that are created to facilitate maintenance tasks or as ad hoc part requests can be submitted to the purchasing department as purchase requests.

Part requests that are created to address stock lows are submitted to the purchasing department as stock requests.

  1. On the Open Part Requests tab, or the Deferred Fault Part Requests tab, or the Part Request Details page, select a part request and click Create Purchase Request.
  2. Enter the purchase request information and click OK.
