Publish long range plans

Publishing in LRP takes a long range plan and creates work packages and tasks in Maintenix based on that plan, making it available to the rest of your organization.

Work packages in LRP correspond directly to work packages in Maintenix. When you publish your long range plan, the work packages in LRP are turned into work packages in Maintenix.

LRP can display several years of work packages for each aircraft, but only selected types of work packages are published to Maintenix. LRP creates work packages against aircraft when at least one of the blocks or requirements is already initialized (in Active or Forecasted status).

If a work package does not already exist in Maintenix, a new work package is created. If a work package already exists in Maintenix, the work package is updated.

Work packages in overflow are published, however they are scheduled to the specific date and not to a location.

  1. In LRP, click Actions > Publish.
Tip: You can also publish you plan by clicking Publish on the LRP toolbar.
  2. In the Publish Plan - Confirmation dialog box, click Continue.
  3. In the Publishing Summary dialog box, review the list of issues that were encountered during publishing. Clicking an issue in the Found Issues list displays further details in the Issue Details area.
  4. Click OK. If during publishing, LRP discovers that some work packages have been started or completed, the changes are reflected in LRP post-publishing.
