Create long range plans

Long Range Planner allows you to create multiple long range plans, and for each plan you create, you can test different what-if scenarios. Each time you open a long range plan, the most recent information is loaded from Maintenix automatically. You can also load the information manually.

A long range plan is created in the following order:

  1. Select aircraft and modify the details of the aircraft in your fleet.
  2. Add future aircraft if they are required.
  3. Select and modify the details of your locations, and set up location capabilities.
  4. Add blocks and requirements.
  5. Save the plan.
To create a long range plan and assigning it an aircraft, complete the following steps:
  1. In LRP, click File > New.
Tip: You can also click on the LRP toolbar.
In LRP, the Fleet List contains all aircraft that are available for planning purposes. By default, when you add an aircraft to your plan, read-only status is disabled, and ad hoc event control is enabled.
  2. In LRP, click Setup > Fleet List.
  3. On the Fleet List page, click Add Aircraft .
  4. In the Aircraft Search dialog box, enter the registration or select an assembly.
  5. Click Search.
  6. Select one or more aircraft from the search results, and click OK.
Note: If the received date is missing, a message appears telling you that one is required. Click OK, and then click the corresponding cell in the Received Date column to select the date from a calendar.
The next step in this process is to add a work location to your location list.
