CAMO: Permission Sets¶
The IFS Cloud Aviation Maintenance solution enables setting up user permission sets to perform maintenance activities via the permission sets that are available for the users below.
- Set up a user as a Maintenance Program Engineer.
- Set up a user as a Configuration Engineer.
- Set up a user as an Administrator.
- Set up a user as a Tool Manager.
- Set up a user as a Material Controller.
- Set up a user as a Repair Router.
- Set up a user as a Line Planner.
- Set up a user as a Heavy Maintenance Planner.
- Set up a user as Maintenance Operations Controller.
Set up user as a Maintenance Program Engineer¶
To set up a user as a Maintenance Program Engineer to work with the ICAM applications, follow the steps below:
Log in to IFS Cloud Web as the IFS Application owner.
If you wish to create a new end user to work as a Maintenance Program Engineer, navigate to the Solution Manager/User page and create the user.
Note: To assign an existing user as a Maintenance Program Engineer, on the User page, search for the user.
On the record sub-menu of the User page, click User Permissions.
Click Grant Permission Sets, select the required permission set out of the following, and click Grant: a. For Maintenance Program Engineer: AMS_MAINTENANCE_ENGINEER b. For Maintenance Program Engineer-read only access: AMS_MAINTENANCE_ENGINEER_RO
Click OK.
Set up user as a Configuration Engineer¶
To set up a user as a Configuration Engineer to work with the ICAM applications, follow the steps below:
Log in to IFS Cloud Web as the IFS Application owner.
If you wish to create a new end user to work as a Configuration Engineer, navigate to the Solution Manager/User page and create the user.
Note: To assign an existing user as a Configuration Engineer, on the User page, search for the user.
On the record sub-menu of the User page, click User Permissions.
Click Grant Permission Sets, select the required permission set out of the following, and click Grant: a. For Configuration Engineer: AMS_CONFIGURATION_ENGINEER b. For Configuration Engineer-read only access: AMS_CONFIGURATION_ENGINEER_RO
Click OK.
Set up user as an Administrator¶
To set up a user as an Administrator to work with the ICAM applications, follow the steps below:
Log in to IFS Cloud Web as the IFS Application owner.
If you wish to create a new end user to work as an Administrator, navigate to the Solution Manager/User page and create the user.
Note: To assign an existing user as an Administrator, on the User page, search for the user.
On the record sub-menu of the User page, click User Permissions.
Click Grant Permission Sets, select the required permission set out of the following, and click Grant:
For Administrator: AMS_ADMINISTRATOR
Click OK.
Set up user as a Tool Manager¶
To set up a user as a Tool Manager to work with the ICAM applications, follow the steps below:
Log in to IFS Cloud Web as the IFS Application owner.
If you wish to create a new end user to work as a Tool Manager, navigate to the Solution Manager/User page and create the user.
Note: To assign an existing user as a Tool Manager, on the User page, search for the user.
On the record sub-menu of the User page, click User Permissions.
Click Grant Permission Sets, select the required permission set out of the following, and click Grant:
For Tool Manager: AMS_TOOL_MANAGER
Note: This permission set contains pre-defined permissions to perform actions required by a technician. It can further be edited based on requirements. For more information see Permission Sets.
Click OK.
Set up user as a Material Controller¶
To set up a user as a Material Controller to work with the ICAM applications, follow the steps below:
Log in to IFS Cloud Web as the IFS Application owner.
If you wish to create a new end user to work as a Material Controller, navigate to the Solution Manager/User page and create the user.
Note: To assign an existing user as a Material Controller, on the User page, search for the user.
On the record sub-menu of the User page, click User Permissions.
Click Grant Permission Sets, select the required permission set out of the following, and click Grant:
For Material Controller: AMS_MATERIAL_CONTROLLER
Note: This permission set contains pre-defined permissions to perform actions required by a technician. It can further be edited based on requirements. For more information see Permission Sets.
Click OK.
Set up user as a Repair Router¶
To set up a user as a Repair Router to work with the ICAM applications, follow the steps below:
Log in to IFS Cloud Web as the IFS Application owner.
If you wish to create a new end user to work as a Repair Router, navigate to the Solution Manager/User page and create the user.
Note: To assign an existing user as a Repair Router, on the User page, search for the user.
On the record sub-menu of the User page, click User Permissions.
Click Grant Permission Sets, select the required permission set out of the following, and click Grant:
For Repair Router: AMS_REPAIR_ROUTER
Note: This permission set contains pre-defined permissions to perform actions required by a technician. It can further be edited based on requirements. For more information see Permission Sets.
Click OK.
Set up user as a Line Planner¶
To set up a user as a Line Planner to work with the ICAM applications, follow the steps below:
Log in to IFS Cloud Web as the IFS Application owner.
If you wish to create a new end user to work as a Repair Router, navigate to the Solution Manager/User page and create the user.
Note: To assign an existing user as a Line Planner, on the User page, search for the user.
On the record sub-menu of the User page, click User Permissions.
Click Grant Permission Sets, select the required permission set out of the following, and click Grant:
For Line Planner: AMS_LINE_PLNR
Note: This permission set contains pre-defined permissions to perform actions required by a technician. It can further be edited based on requirements. For more information see Permission Sets.
Click OK.
Set up user as a Heavy Maintenance Planner¶
To set up a user as a Heavy Maintenance Planner to work with the ICAM applications, follow the steps below:
Log in to IFS Cloud Web as the IFS Application owner.
If you wish to create a new end user to work as a Heavy Maintenance Planner, navigate to the Solution Manager/User page and create the user.
Note: To assign an existing user as a Heavy Maintenance Planner, on the User page, search for the user.
On the record sub-menu of the User page, click User Permissions.
Click Grant Permission Sets, select the required permission set out of the following, and click Grant:
For Heavy Maintenance Planner: AMS_HVY_MAINTENENCE_PLNR
Note: This permission set contains pre-defined permissions to perform actions required by a technician. It can further be edited based on requirements. For more information see Permission Sets.
Click OK.
Set up user as a Maintenance Operations Controller¶
To set up a user as a Maintenance Operations Controller to work with the ICAM applications, follow the steps below:
Log in to IFS Cloud Web as the IFS Application owner.
If you wish to create a new end user to work as a Maintenance Operations Controller, navigate to the Solution Manager/User page and create the user.
Note: To assign an existing user as a Maintenance Operations Controller, on the User page, search for the user.
On the record sub-menu of the User page, click User Permissions.
Click Grant Permission Sets, select the required permission set out of the following, and click Grant:
For Maintenance Operations Controller: AMS_MAINTENANCE_OPS_CONTR

Click OK.
