Introduction to the Report Studio-Design Interface

The following represents the first look at the IFS Report Studio-Designer Interface:

The Design Surface serves as the canvas where a report's layout and components are visualized.

Following is how you can utilize the tools within the IFS Report Studio-Designer's panels to design your report layouts:

  • Toolbox: Drag and drop report controls onto the design surface from the Toolbox to incorporate them into your report design.

  • Main Toolbar: Access a range of report editing commands conveniently from the Main Toolbar.

  • Properties: Customize the properties of report controls using the Properties panel.

  • Expressions: Dynamically provide data to report controls and conditionally shape data using the Expressions panel.

  • Field List: Explore and utilize the report's data source schema through the Field List panel.

  • Report Explorer: Access and manage the various elements of the report within the Report Explorer panel.
