Scheduling Optimization Datasets¶
To integrate IFS Cloud with IFS Planning & Scheduling Optimization (PSO) a dataset is required.
The dataset represents the scheduling model and configuration options that will be passed to PSO for scheduling with the results being returned to IFS Cloud.
The input data to PSO can be submitted in compressed format. This may be required for large datasets and is controlled with the System Parameter Input Data Compression.
The scheduling model may consist of Scheduling, Modelling and System data.
- Scheduling Data: is used for scheduling integrations.
- Modelling Data: is used for resource planning and maintaining scheduling data.
- System Data: is used for system data integrations.

Enable/Disable Dataset¶
This command enables or disables the dataset.
Disabling the dataset will disable the associated Database Task Schedule.
Enabling the dataset will enable the associated Database Task Schedule.
Send Full Load¶
This will manually send all scheduling data plus changes to modelling and system data to PSO for the selected dataset.
This command is only available if the dataset is enabled and the dataset model has scheduling data defined.
Send Reset¶
This will manually send all scheduling, modelling and system data to PSO for the selected dataset.
This command is only available if the dataset is enabled.
Send Changes¶
This will manually send changes to scheduling, modelling and system data to PSO for the selected dataset.
This command is only available if the dataset is enabled and a Full Load or a Reset has been sent previously. It is not available for Static datasets.
Edit/View Parameters¶
This opens a dialog where the dataset parameters can be modified or viewed.
Parameters can only be modified when the dataset is disabled.
Refresh Parameters¶
This will delete the existing parameters and recreate them from the Scheduling Model. It will preserve values already entered in the existing parameters.
Parameters can only be refreshed when the dataset is disabled.
PSO Workbench¶
This command will open the PSO Workbench in a separate window/tab based on the settings defined in Scheduling Optimization Configuration for the Configuration ID linked to the selected dataset.
