IFS Report Studio

Overview

IFS Report Studio – Designer is a web-based tool used to design layouts for operational reports in IFS Cloud. The reports are based on JSON (JavaScript Object Notation) data sources to ease the data interchange between web APIs & integrated with PDF Previewing.

IFS Report Studio can be launched via IFS Cloud as an end user granted with the required permission Sets - FND_DESIGNER_REPORT, or as an admin user. Layouts designed with this tool are classified as Report Studio - Designer layouts and stored with the .rep file extension.

As a web designer solution, IFS Report Studio offers flexibility in layout, formatting & styling. This empowers users to create, design, and preview report layouts directly within their web browser, eliminating the need for separate design software and significantly improving the overall reporting experience.

Known limitations

The following functionalities are not currently supported in Report Studio.

1. Formatting numbers and dates based on runtime local.
2. Limited functionalities such as amount to words.
3. Watermarks
4. Static forms
5. Limited support for Report Rules. Server-side actions such as Print to Logical printer, and Send email are not supported.

IFS Cloud will gradually gain these new features.
