Panel¶
The Panel control serves as a container that encloses individual report controls, facilitating their movement, copying, and pasting. Additionally, the panel visually consolidates report controls in Print Preview, for example, by providing borders or a uniform colored background.
To include a panel in a report, simply drag the Panel item from the Toolbox and drop it onto the desired report band.
Drop the desired report controls onto the panel to consolidate them into a group.
Instead of adjusting individual controls, utilize this panel to perform tasks such as moving, copying, changing appearance settings, and more.
The Report Explorer showcases controls positioned within a panel as its subordinate nodes.
The panel does not support containing the following report controls:
- Page Break
- Table of Contents
If a panel contains only one control, you can utilize the Fit Bounds to Container option from the panel's context menu. This command adjusts the size of the control so that it fills all available container space, excluding borders.
You can also activate the panel's Can Shrink property to automatically adjust the panel's size to accommodate all inner controls. This feature helps prevent blank areas, especially when certain controls are conditionally hidden.
