Standard APIs

Introduction

Standard APIs is the predecessor of premium APIs and still acts as the building blocks to build a premium API in many cases. Though a standard API can be treated as a stand-alone request, it is not built to solve any exclusive business use case. The standard APIs are visible in the API Explorer.

Technical specifications (OpenAPI v3, v2) and technical documentation will be provided.

Version Handling

A list of breaking API changes will be provided in conjunction with service and release updates.

Accessing Standard APIs

1. In IFS Cloud, navigate to Solution Manager > Integration > API Explorer.

2. Click on the Settings icon and select Column Chooser from the dropdown that appears.

3. Select Configure columns manually.

4. Drag and drop API Class from the left panel to the right.

5. Click OK. Now API Class is added as one of the columns.

6. In order to filter the Standard APIs, choose API Class as a field from the list of columns and enter standard as the filter value.
