Configure Batch Queues

This page describes what batch queue that are supposed to be started when configuring a freshly installed system before taking it into operation.

Run the form Configuration/Batch Queue Configuration. Read more in Batch Queues Configuration

At installation time, one default Batch Queue is created, which means that all background jobs will be executing through this Batch Queue. Eventually create more Batch Queues if needed. Make sure to initialize the Batch Queues so they are started.

Note: The Initialization parameter job_queue_processes controls how many physical background processes Oracle creates/support - make sure your job_queue_processes parameter is set high enough to support any Batch Queues created.
